Strategic Plan

Strategic Plan [PLACEHOLDER: 2026–2029]

Priority 1 — Build a membership that reflects the sector

Grow to [PLACEHOLDER: target] member organisations by [PLACEHOLDER: year], with representation from every province and territory and from non-profit, co-operative, private, Indigenous-led and public providers. Establish industry partner membership so suppliers, lenders and consultants are part of the conversation.

Priority 2 — Become the national source of seniors housing data

Publish an annual State of Seniors Housing in Canada survey, a common terminology for the sector, and benchmarking that lets members compare operating performance, compensation and development costs.

Priority 3 — Be the recognised voice of seniors housing with governments

Secure standing invitations to federal budget and National Housing Strategy consultations, build relationships with every provincial housing and seniors ministry, and equip members to advocate locally.

Priority 4 — Grow the people who run seniors housing

Establish the CSHP designation as the sector's recognised credential, launch a national conference and regional roundtables, and create a career centre that draws new talent into the sector.

How we measure progress

Each priority has annual targets reported in the Annual Report and reviewed by the board every quarter. [PLACEHOLDER: list 3–5 key performance indicators.]
